Tony Soulié was born in Paris in 1955; he had his first exhibition in 1977 in Switzerland and was part of the French “New Abstraction” movement in the 1970-1980s.
He is an established artist whose paintings, photography and installations are shown throughout the world. Many books and editions on his work have been published, most recently “Tony Soulié, peintures 1976-2008”, his latest monograph. He is represented in numerous public collections including the Museum of Modern Art in Paris as well as corporate and private-owned foundations.
His latest abstract works are painted photographs that retrace his journeys around the world, showing crowded megalopolis or deserted landscapes as poetic icons of our dreams.
Other series of works embraces different themes like “Flowers”, “Vanités” or more recently “Dream catchers”.
